Mark then changed direction and moved to the other side of camera. He was one of five people from 2,500 applicants to be trained by the BBC World Service as a newsreader and announcer. Mark then moved across to ITV where his voice was heard regularly across the ITV Network as a Continuity Announcer.

A move into news followed, where he has been a familiar face presenting in two of ITV’s busiest news regions, Central and Meridian. More recently Mark has expanded his portfolio of freelance work to include presenting web videos, commercial voiceovers and narration. He is now calling on his valuable experience as a trainer of new presenting talent.
